Dear Uncle Screwtape,

I hope this letter finds you well and that your vacation in the Abyss is everything it's cracked up to be. I apologize for interrupting your much-deserved rest, but I simply could not handle my own affairs any longer.

She isn’t like the other humans; I remember this feeling only once before. When I was ripped away from my first host. I feel as though I am surrounded by The Enemy at all times. It’s watching my every move and thwarting my every attempt. She was born inside one of his, all too familiar bulwarks; even getting close to her causes unimaginable suffering for our kind.

I have tried to distract her, tried to lead her astray, stoking her passions, and overloading her senses, only for her to be resilient to my efforts, and at times she will even go as far as to openly mock me. I feel insulted, and furthermore it is humiliating. I fear that I may be in over my head and am in desperate need of your guidance. I know I have disappointed you in the past, and I am truly sorry. I beg of you to offer me your advice. I will do my best to follow your instructions to the letter.

I am aware the punishments for these failures will be far worse this time around; so, you do not need to remind me.
